I’m a psychologist registered with AHPRA.
I graduated from the Australian National University with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society.
I’m committed to the highest standards of professional ethics and confidentiality.
I have over 17 years experience and have been established in private practice for more than 10 years, prior to which I worked in the public and not for profit sectors. I have a depth of experience working with a range and complexity of issues and individuals.
The psychotherapy relationship is a collaborative process between an individual and a psychologist.
About the service
My work with you will be tailored to your individual needs.
How long do sessions go for?
Each session runs for 50 minutes.
How many sessions will you need?
The length of therapy is different for everyone and to some degree, it depends on what you want to work through, and what you want to achieve. Short-term therapy, 6 – 10 sessions is better suited to addressing a straightforward problem or learning some strategies. Deeper psychological work with long term issues and long-established patterns of behaviour are more likely to require a commitment to a longer period of psychotherapy. We will be able to discuss your needs during your first session.
Medicare rebates for psychologist services
A rebate may be available from Medicare for up to 10 sessions per calendar year if you have a Mental Health Plan from your GP.
Rebates may also be available from your Private Health Fund. Please check with your provider to see if you are covered.
Please note, you do not need a referral to see me unless you wish to claim from Medicare.
